My principal at Cypress HS contacted me about shooting headshots for our student ambassadors in the district. AUHSD has a total of 13 high schools across the district that come from a variety of backgrounds. Every week they meet to discuss the high level comings-and-goings of the district and bring a students perspective to the table and in turn act as the ambassador of the district for new initiatives that are brought back to their respective schools. Every year, they hire a photographer to shoot their official student portraits that hang in the foyer of the district and are the first thing that a visitor sees while waiting to get buzzed in. This year, they chose me and I’m so proud of how they came out. They were a great group to photograph and helped each other choose the best photo after each student had their turn in front of the lens. We had thirteen students and knocked them all out in about 2.5 hours. They each brought their own energy to the shoot but the final set of images is definitely more than the sum of its parts.
